About Dudley

 
The Rotary Club of Dudley is the only Club in District 1210 to have been presented with four District 'Significant Achievement Awards'. We are very proud of our past successes, but we don't rest on our laurels and keep striving to do useful service at home and overseas.
The award winning projects:

Rotary House, Phase 1 - 1977 award: construction and management of warden controlled residential accommodation for senior citizens, later extended to provide over 50 apartments. Details
Mobile Cardiac Unit - 1983 award: our third emergency response vehicle supplied to the local coronary care unit, called out almost every day to heart attack victims. Details
Group Study Exchange Visit from Poland - 1986 award: pioneering project, during the Communist era, to bring a party of young business and professional men and women from Warsaw on an educational and cultural tour. Details
Bargarh Housing Project, Orissa, India - 1994 award: purchase of land and the construction of 40 bungalows to re-house a colony of lepers and their families. Details
